Knitting How To

This short 7-minute video Traditional Socks from Iraq was demonstrated by master knitter Betsy Tuttle. The goal of this project was to supplement the Interim Teaching Collection (the Helen Louise Allen Textile Collection’s name for a select group of objects used for teaching during the Collections upcoming relocation period). This video assists us with presenting our collection to students and to the community at large, teaching them about a specific technical process, and encouraging their creative vision through historical objects.
