Help relaxing a circular knitting needle please?

February 24th, 2010 · 2 Comments · Knitting On Circular Needles

It’s my first time using a circular needle, and I just took it out of the package. The only problem I’m having is that the cord is kinky from being in the package and keeps getting in my way. Anyone know a good way to make the cord "relax" and straighten out without damaging it? Thanks!

heat a pot of water to almost boiling, dip the cord in the water for just a few seconds (maybe 5-10), then lay them out straight to cool. Be careful not to burn yourself!

Warm it with steam…careful not to burn yourself.
