A pattern calls for 22 stitches cast on including (edge stitches).
The pattern then begins by saying cast on multiples of 5 stitches.
then the actual instruction starts at row 1,
Row 1: k5 , p5, k5, p5
Row 2: knit over knit, purl over purl, to end of row

The instructions call for me to:
