I saw it in my knitting instructions and would like to know what it means
If you are knitting from a chart than usually the cross is a knit stitch and the minus sign is a purl.

Help! I am knitting an afghan. What does it mean when the instructions say: "Pattern 4 rows and end with a right side row."?
Where does the pattern come from? An afghan should

Just started afghan "Celtic Tradition" from "Big Needle Knit Afghans" for a Christmas gift. I don’t know if I’m dumb, or pattern is wrong, but it’s not working for me.

I don’t get what order I should do the pattern of a lace heart bookmark from this website:

after the first 18 rows, the pattern says to increase 1 st at each end of 11th and every following 8th row until a certain amount of sts remains….
would that be row 29, 37, 45 etc?
