Where can I find a FREE intricate cable knit scarf pattern?

April 5th, 2010 · No Comments · How To Knit A Scarf

I have found some basic ones with just the two pieces curling around each other, but I want a 3-5 cable pattern. Is this making sense? I mean one like a Celtic braid pattern. Please help! I have looked at the ones on knittingpatterncentral.com and haven’t found what I’m looking for.

this is the best one I have found to meet your needs:

or this one is good too:

but some of these may work also:

Alternately, take any intricate cable pattern you like, such as the the one from ‘the girl from auntie’ http://www.girlfromauntie.com/patterns/celtic/

add a simple border on either side of the cable, and voila, a scarf! Have fun, cables are some of my favorite things to knit.
