How do I go about starting knitting?

March 28th, 2010 · No Comments · Knitting For Beginners

I’m a complete beginner, but I really want to learn to knit. I’m going to get a book called ‘Knitty Gritty: Knitting for the Absolute Beginner’, because it has good reviews on amazon, but what needles and wool do I need as where’s the best place to get them?
Any advice is very appreciated!
Thank you very much.

Hopefully you have a conversion site there and if not e-mail me for that or any other information I can send to you. I don’t see why your going to spend money on a book to learn how to knit when all the information you need is right here on the computer. I can give you a lot of sites to go from the UK to learn anything about knitting that you want. I would like to make a suggestion to you and that is not to get the large needle and bulky yarn to learn on as you may not use either one of them again. Start with a size 6 or 8 needle and 4 ply yarn. Yes it is on the medium size but that is what you will use in most instances. You will love the work you will be able to do.
