Instructions for making kids horse reins from finger knitting.?

February 22nd, 2010 · 1 Comment · Knitting Instructions

My daughter has a huge amount of french knitting (knitting that is done using a knitting spool) and I would like to make some horse reins using the knitting for her and her brother to play with. Is there anyone out there that is able to give me instructions on how to make them up without having to cut the knitting up.Thanks

Well, basically you need to sew the ends in a loop over their horse’s heads, leaving a big loop long enough for them to hold, with the smaller loops at the end around the horse’s nose or bridle. You’ll need about 3 feet of french knitting for each one.
